California has a new State Long-Term Care Ombudsman. The LTCO Program is approaching 50 years and the model that was created by the Older Americans Act in 1978 needs to be updated, modernized, and enhanced in order to serve a population with more complex needs. You will hear about what we learned from COVID-19, the increasing number of closures, nursing home reforms, and how the LTC Ombudsman representatives and nursing home administrators and staff can work towards a common goal.
